Your Privacy Matters
Tech Founder Coach ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by Rajiv Sankarlall, is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights — in plain language, without the legalese maze.
This policy applies to all services offered at techfoundercoach.com, including coaching engagements, diagnostic tools, email programs, and any communications you initiate with us.
By using this site or engaging our services, you agree to the practices described here. If you disagree with any part of this policy, please do not use our services.
What We Collect and Why
We collect only what we need to deliver coaching services and communicate with you. Here is what that includes:
- Contact information: Name, email address, phone number (if provided), and any details you voluntarily share via contact forms or booking tools.
- Assessment and diagnostic data: Responses you submit through founder assessments, quizzes, and bottleneck diagnostics on this site.
- Coaching records: Session notes, goals, progress markers, and any written or recorded materials created during a coaching engagement — retained only with your knowledge and for the purpose of delivering coaching.
- Email engagement data: Opens, clicks, and unsubscribes on emails we send you — used to improve relevance and respect your preferences.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and time on site — collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure for security and performance purposes.
We do not collect payment card data directly. Payments are processed by third-party providers (Stripe or equivalent) who maintain their own privacy and security standards.
What We Do With It
Your data is used for the following purposes only:
- Coaching delivery: Personalizing sessions, tracking progress, and fulfilling our coaching commitments to you.
- Email sequences: Delivering the email programs you opted into (free courses, follow-up sequences, resources). You can unsubscribe from any email at any time via the link in the footer of every message.
- Scheduling and communication: Coordinating calls, sending reminders, and responding to inquiries.
- Site improvement: Understanding how visitors use the site to improve content, load times, and user experience. We use minimal analytics and do not sell or share behavioral data with advertising networks.
- Legal compliance: Retaining records as required by applicable law.
How We Keep Your Data Safe
Your data is stored on servers hosted in the United States by reputable cloud infrastructure providers. We use industry-standard security practices including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) on all pages
- Access controls limiting who can view client records
- Secure, password-protected email and scheduling platforms
- Minimal data retention — we do not hold onto data longer than necessary
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately at privacy@techfoundercoach.com.
How Long We Keep Your Data
- Email list subscribers: Retained until you unsubscribe. Unsubscribe records are kept to honor your preference and comply with anti-spam laws.
- Coaching records: Retained for the duration of the engagement and up to 3 years afterward, for continuity if you re-engage. You may request earlier deletion at any time.
- Assessment responses: Retained for 12 months, or until you request deletion.
- Technical/server logs: Retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.
After retention periods expire, data is deleted or anonymized.
What You Can Request
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights under GDPR (EU/UK residents) and CCPA (California residents), among other applicable laws:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection: Object to certain types of processing, including marketing communications.
- Opt-out of email: Use the unsubscribe link in any email we send you, or email us directly.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@techfoundercoach.com. We will respond within 30 days. We do not charge for rights requests.
Tools We Use
We use a small number of third-party tools to operate this site and deliver services. Each handles data under their own privacy policies:
- Cal.com: Appointment scheduling. Data you provide during booking is handled per their privacy policy.
- Email service providers: Used to deliver email sequences. Unsubscribe from any email at any time.
- Stripe: Payment processing for coaching engagements. We never see or store your full card number.
We review third-party tools for reasonable data practices before adoption. We do not embed advertising pixels or third-party tracking scripts from ad networks.
Fonts: This site uses self-hosted fonts (Inter and JetBrains Mono) served directly from our domain (techfoundercoach.com). Font files are delivered from our own servers via Vercel’s edge network. No user data, including IP addresses, is transmitted to Google Fonts, Google’s CDN, or any third-party font service. The Google Fonts CDN (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) is not used on this site.
Cookie Usage
This site uses minimal cookies. These are primarily functional cookies required for the site to operate (session state, security tokens). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Blocking functional cookies may affect site performance but will not prevent you from accessing content.
